FAQ - Your mostly asked questions about the hanging table DIY kit
Do you recommend a strap or a belt?
Both fit: A belt works with a D- or O-ring on the 16 mm wide hook. A strap or cord finds a secure hold in the 10 mm eyelet below.
With a sisal strap, it looks more charming on a DIY table :)

Which vehicles, besides T4 to T6.1 buses, does it fit?
As long as there is a metal flange above the window in the door, it should fit.
Older vehicles, such as T1 - T3, sometimes have very thick flanges (> 3 mm) or are awkwardly angled, so it may not fit.
It fits on the Mercedes V-Class (W447), VW Caddy, and others ... If a new vehicle is added, we will update the list of compatible vehicles.

I made the hooks for your hanging table on the sliding door of the VW Bus T4, T5, T6 and T6.1.
The hooks are injection moulded from the same plastic as the connectors of the original rear carriers.
This makes them extremely stable and unbreakable.
Of course, they also fit perfectly on the door: sliding door, driver's door, passenger side ... hang the table where it suits you best.
The door can still be closed without any problems, even with the closing aid.
Hanging table with rope, natural & puristic
The set with rope (5 m in one piece) is lightweight and great for a simple do-it-yourself hanging table made from a wooden board or similar. Simply make four holes of ~5 mm in the corners, tie the weatherproof polyamide rope with a sturdy three and a half mm through each hook and the holes on one side. Done.
Tip no. 1: A felt edge protector or two rubber stoppers will protect the paintwork of your campervan.
DIY outdoor table with webbing, variable & compact packed
With the second set of 2 x 25 mm webbing and D-rings you are flexible.
Use the two hooks, for example, with the table during the day and for the fairy lights in the evening.
The hooks, table and strap can be stored separately to save space.
Tip no. 2: If you run the strap around the outside of your hanging table, you don't necessarily need another edge protector.
Each set includes two KLEMMT door hooks plus fastening (either 5 m rope or 2x 3 m belt incl. D-rings).

A missing coat hook in our first California led to my invention: THE well-known hook for the pop-up roof, our ABHÄNG.
Why drill into your bus? From my incomprehension of this and the limited headroom under the existing roof cabinets, our EINFACH was born.
Every idea matures between my own ears, from actual need and missing solutions.
🕑 Thoughtful Product Design
Initial sketches turn into prototypes.
Once I'm convinced, I construct it using CAD, based on the already specific dimensions.
The design is then implemented with 3D printing and in the workshop, then being tested.
In the refinement process, I remove unnecessary parts from the design.

Nicole and I take new accessories on tour directly with our bumblebee (aka T6 California Beach).
Is a contour not perfect, or is a feature not used while camping?
If so, it gets adjusted and tested again. And possibly again...
Only what convinces us over a season and proves its value gets produced.
