FAQ - Your mostly asked questions FAQ about the camping table on the sliding door
What protects the paint from scratches?
By placing the attachment – strap or rope, both are possible – around the outside of the hanging table, it keeps a distance from the paint and bodywork. The paint is then no longer touched by the table itself and is thus protected.
How do I attach the outdoor table to the sliding door?
Attachment is done using our KLEMMT door hooks. You can find the hook that still allows the door to close, in a set with weatherproof rope or 25 mm strap right here.
Which vehicles does it fit?
You can find a list of compatible vehicles and tips for attaching it to each car in the description.
Where is it made?
All products are self-developed, personally used by us, and 100% practical.
Since 2016, our bus essentials are locally manufactured in Northern Germany. You can count on it 🤝
Universal hanging table for the sliding door
The additional table for the sliding door fits on both the driver's and passenger's side and can be attached quickly and easily.
It fits perfectly, e.g. for a cartridge stove or small camping stoves.
With its compact dimensions (size 400 x 280 mm, W x D), it easily fits in the drawers of the three-seater sleeping bench or under the two-seater bench in the VW California. It can also be stowed between the chairs in the tailgate.
Exterior table for your van camper
As a genuine camping table it can of course remain attached even when the sliding door is closed.
You can adjust it to your desired height using a strap or rope.
Our van bar fits VW T1 T2, T3, T4, T5, T6 and T6.1; no matter if it's a California, Caravelle, Transporter or Multivan.
It also adds extra surface quickly on the Mercedes Marco Polo, Pössl Campster or Hymer Crosscamp and other campervans.
You don’t have a flange or only a sloped edge on your motorhome? Use magnets or (maybe suction cups from the "cap" for a pop-up roof?) and the practical shelf fits any door.
It just fits!
Thoughtful hanging board details...
For edge protection and to protect your paintwork, simply guide the rope or strap around the specially made long holes on the outside.
We deliberately left the sides open: This way, you can easily sweep or wipe away crumbs and more – and if the camping table gets caught in a shower – it won't create a puddle at the door ;)
The long slots in the middle of the tabletop hold additional accessories. These then find a weather-protected place under the table.

Scope of delivery for the universal hanging table
PIT consists of the tabletop made from 6 mm thick birch multiplex.
We oil every table with linseed oil. If you want to paint, glaze or leave it unoiled ... just let us know briefly in the comment field when ordering.
For mounting, you can use rope or a strap up to 25 mm wide. Matching sets for table mounting including hooks for the door, which still allow it to close (!), can be found right here.

🕐 New Product Ideas
A missing coat hook in our first California led to my invention: THE well-known hook for the pop-up roof, our ABHÄNG.
Why drill into your bus? From my incomprehension of this and the limited headroom under the existing roof cabinets, our EINFACH was born.
Every idea matures between my own ears, from actual need and missing solutions.
🕑 Thoughtful Product Design
Initial sketches turn into prototypes.
Once I'm convinced, I construct it using CAD, based on the already specific dimensions.
The design is then implemented with 3D printing and in the workshop, then being tested.
In the refinement process, I remove unnecessary parts from the design.
🕒Tested in Camping Life
Nicole and I take new accessories on tour directly with our bumblebee (aka T6 California Beach).
Is a contour not perfect, or is a feature not used while camping?
If so, it gets adjusted and tested again. And possibly again...
Only what convinces us over a season and proves its value gets produced.
