Is the shelf available in other colors?
If you want a different color, just let us know with your order. We'll leave your shelf unoiled so you have complete freedom of choice with paint, glaze, etc.
Does the cup holder also fit other chairs?
The dimensions are tailored to the VW California camping chair for the tailgate. Among other things, the width of the mount is 25 mm.
Other chairs have different tube diameters and different opening angles between the legs.
Feel free to write to us and let us know which chair you'd like a holder for.

Excellent Tray for the California Camping Chair
You know the situation.
Sunset, perfect spot, the chairs are set up ... time to unwind and enjoy the evening.
But where to put your drink, book, and snack?
The first drink is gone, and when you refill, the bottle tips into the freshly cut grass. Or, previously chilled, now beautifully covered in condensation and sitting in fine beach sand ...
PIT tray provides a secure surface in seconds.
You simply hook the side table onto the folding chair. Done.
Additional Cup Holder and Tray
The 80 mm opening on the side tray safely holds a stemmed wine glass.
At the other end, there’s a 25 mm long hook for hanging something like a cloth or a cap.
On the total surface of 173 x 424 millimeters, the tray offers space for snacks, books, and some nibbles.
Scope of Delivery
Each PIT tray comes in solid 15 mm plywood.
We oil each one with linseed oil. If you’d like to paint, glaze, or leave it unoiled … please let us know in the comment field when placing your order.

A missing coat hook in our first California led to my invention: THE well-known hook for the pop-up roof, our ABHÄNG.
Why drill into your bus? From my incomprehension of this and the limited headroom under the existing roof cabinets, our EINFACH was born.
Every idea matures between my own ears, from actual need and missing solutions.
🕑 Thoughtful Product Design
Initial sketches turn into prototypes.
Once I'm convinced, I construct it using CAD, based on the already specific dimensions.
The design is then implemented with 3D printing and in the workshop, then being tested.
In the refinement process, I remove unnecessary parts from the design.

Nicole and I take new accessories on tour directly with our bumblebee (aka T6 California Beach).
Is a contour not perfect, or is a feature not used while camping?
If so, it gets adjusted and tested again. And possibly again...
Only what convinces us over a season and proves its value gets produced.
